- Preheat the Core (Empty Run): Assemble the S01 and place it in a pot or a pan (kettle hot water starts at 99.5°C/210°F, just off the boil). Pour the hot water down the top pressure tube (with no grounds inside). Let it flow through the inner 2cm stainless tube and 38mmx100mm coffee holder. This heats the metal to ~80°C in seconds. Keep adding hot water to push it to 90°C+—let it drain or just drain excess by tilting or pouring it out.
- Safety First: The stainless heats up fast—grab a cloth or oven mitt to handle parts without burns.
- Load and Lock: Remove the top, pack fresh grounds into the middle tube, reattach, and secure the lock.
- Final Hot Fill for Peak Temp: Pour 99°C water into the central pressure tube. For standard 90°C brews, a quick fill does it. Craving 94–96°C?
