Today, we are sharing the definitive thermal stability data for the MeeBaa S01-series. Whether you are using the S01A (100mm cup height) or the compact S01B (87mm cup height), this data confirms that our "over-engineered" 304 stainless steel design delivers professional-grade temperature consistency.
One Core Design, Two Profiles
A common question we receive is whether the height difference between the S01A and S01B affects the quality of the espresso. The answer is no. The internal geometry of the S01A and S01B is identical. They share the same pressure chamber volume, the same center tube architecture, and the same high-tolerance seals. Because the "thermal DNA" is the same, the stability measurements taken on the S01A apply directly to the S01B, giving you the same precision regardless of which model you choose.
The Thermal Measurement Test
To prove the stability of the S01-series, we conducted a real-time measurement using a precision needle thermometer inside the center tube. Our goal was to simulate the exact conditions of a 9-bar manual pull.
Test Conditions:
- Room Temperature: 24.0°C
- Target Brew Temp: 92.6°C
- Preheat Method: Double-Rinse Protocol
The Preheat Protocol:
The 304 stainless steel body is a massive heat sink. To ensure it works for you rather than against you, we use a simple two-step rinse:
- 1st Rinse: 99°C water poured into the center and cup. Internal temp reaches 63°C. (10s hold)
- 2nd Rinse: 99°C water brings the mass to equilibrium. Internal temp reaches 89.5°C. (10s hold)
- Active Pour: Final brew water (99°C) is added, resulting in a stabilized starting internal temperature of 92.6°C.
The Results: 40 Seconds of Stability
We tracked the temperature drop over a 40-second window—the time required for a standard pre-infusion and a steady 30-35 second piston stroke at 9 bars.
